Hi, I’m Lexie! I’m a Licensed Psychological Associate (LPA) with a deep passion for providing effective, compassionate therapy. I believe in the human capacity for healing, growth, and change—and I consider it a privilege to walk alongside my clients on that journey. While therapy can be challenging at times, I’ve seen how it can also be incredibly rewarding and transformative.
I earned my Master’s in Clinical Psychology from the University of Houston–Clear Lake. Since then, I’ve worked with adolescents and adults facing anxiety, obsessive-compulsive disorder (OCD), and eating disorders. I draw from a range of evidence-based approaches to tailor treatment to each client’s unique needs:
-
Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy (RO DBT): Designed for individuals who struggle with excessive self-control, such as perfectionism, social isolation, or emotional inhibition. RO DBT helps clients build openness, flexibility, and deeper social connections.
-
Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT): A structured approach that teaches mindfulness, distress tolerance, emotion regulation, and interpersonal effectiveness. DBT is particularly helpful for people with intense emotions, self-harming behaviors, or difficulties in relationships.
-
Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP): The gold-standard treatment for OCD, ERP helps clients gradually face feared situations while resisting the urge to engage in compulsions—leading to long-term relief and confidence.
-
Family-Based Treatment (FBT): A highly effective, parent-led treatment for adolescents with eating disorders. FBT empowers families to take an active role in helping their child recover.
-
Enhanced Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT-E): A flexible, evidence-based treatment for eating disorders that targets the thoughts, behaviors, and emotions maintaining disordered eating patterns.
-
Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT): A mindfulness-based approach that helps clients accept difficult thoughts and feelings, clarify their values, and take committed action toward a meaningful life.
Outside of work, I enjoy staying active, spending time with friends, going to live music events, and practicing music on bass guitar.
If you’re looking for a collaborative, knowledgeable, and compassionate therapist, I’d be honored to work with you.
