Hi, I’m Deja, a Licensed Master Social Worker with a passion for supporting adolescents, adults, and families in a safe therapeutic space. I obtained my Bachelors of Science in Psychology from University of Houston and my Master of Social Work from Howard University.

Therapy isn’t a linear process, it’s a layered one. You’re not just talking about what’s happening now— you’re unlearning patterns, revisiting old narratives, and slowly building new ways of relating to yourself and others. And that takes time.

My experience spans from extensive work with teens in a residential treatment setting who experienced emotional dysregulation, depression, mood disorders, autism spectrum disorder, and maladaptive perfectionism. I continue to be passionate about working with this population. My therapeutic approach is deeply rooted in empathy, authenticity, and trauma-informed care. As a trained clinician in Dialectical Behavior Therapy and Radically Open Dialectical Behavior Therapy, I use these techniques to create a treatment plan unique to you and your goals.

If you’ve been carrying a lot lately—this is your reminder: You don’t have to carry it alone. I am not here to tell you how you’re supposed to feel from your own experiences, but rather guide you through the journey of therapy. This is a collaborative effort and we will work together to achieve sustainable success.

Outside of doing therapy, in my free time I enjoy staying active through outdoor activities, weightlifting, traveling, and cooking!
