- Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT)
Andrew Robinson, LMSW, is a therapist and doctoral student in social work at the University of Houston, with a clinical focus on Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) and other evidence-based approaches. He received his Master’s in Social Work from UH in 2020. His clinical work emphasizes helping clients build practical skills to manage difficult emotions, improve relationships, increase self-awareness, and live in alignment with their core values. Andrew has experience working with LGBTQ+ adults, older adults, caregivers, and individuals experiencing complex mental health concerns. He leads a DBT Skills Group for older adults and for LGBTQ+ adults. In addition to his clinical practice, his research focuses on suicide prevention, mental health stigma, and improving access to affirming and effective mental health services.
